Create Hybrid Real-Time and General Purpose Multi-Core Systems

Multi-core processors are providing new levels of performance and functionality while lowering overall costs for embedded systems. This new computing environment provides economies of scale by using multiple CPU execution engines on a single processor chip that accesses shared system resources. Real-time virtualization software enables multiple real-time and non-real-time operating systems to run concurrently on a multi-core processor. The combination of a multi-core processor and real time virtualization software provides a paradigm shift in system performance and functionality by enabling hardware consolidation.
