Medical Device Electromagnetic Compatibility Program
The Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), a part of the FDA, has regulatory authority over several thousand different kinds of medical devices. The CDRH's Medical Device Electromagnetic Compatibility Program oversees interference compatibility issues for the industry.

NEMA's Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy Systems Division
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association represents manufacturers of such electronic medical products as x-ray, MRI, ultrasound, and lithotripsy equipment. The most valuable resource on this site may well be the group's 1997 Annual Report, which provides some helpful insights into imaging and related markets.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
A professional society headquartered in Dearborn, MI that serves the manufacturing industries.
