Brush-Commutated Dc Motors

Brush-commutated dc motors have a seven-slot skewed armature design to minimize magnetic cogging and promote smooth, quiet motor operation. The Series 8000 is available in lengths of 2.07, 2.445, and 2.915 in. The motors can reach peak torques up to 16.8 oz-in. and speeds up to 10,650 rpm for standard motors at rated voltages. Speed voltages, current, and torque characteristics can be varied based on requirements. To promote concentricity and long brush life, the motor commutators are diamond-turned after armature assembly. Windings are resin-impregnated and copper graphite brushes are standard.
