Merlin 300 – New Cost Effective 2-axis Video Measurement System
New Milford, CT: Vision Engineering introduces the Merlin 300 – the new 2-axis video measurement system at Interphex/Medical Device 2007 Puerto Rico. The Merlin 300 is an extremely sophisticated unit, delivering an exceptional price to performance ratio and is easy to operate.
With the consistent emphasis on measurement systems that offer excellent repeatability and reproducibility, Vision Engineering has again created a quality system in the new Merlin 300 that allows users to virtually "plug and play". By offering the video image solution to measuring parts, the system increases accuracy and repeatability by removing the potential for operator error.
The new Merlin 300 high performance, low cost package includes a dedicated Quadra-Chek 300 (QC300) video microprocessor with modern touch-screen technology including Video Edge Detection (VED). This package provides for fast, higher throughput measurements – ideal for batch routines or measurement of form features. Merlin 300, with its compact footprint and high specification camera, also allows operators to benefit from a unique contrast teach facility, enabling the operator to easily determine the component edge. And, the QC300 is equipped with the capabilities for automated point data capture with full PC connectivity.
Completing the Merlin 300 package are high numerical aperture objective lenses maximizing illumination efficiency and long life dimmable LED surface and sub-stage illumination.
