Oliver Products Introduces Lid Adhesive That Eliminates Contamination Risk.
Oliver Products Company has introduced NP34 lid adhesive. This revolutionary new adhesive from Oliver has the strongest anchorage of any adhesive in the industry. Oliver’s hot melt adhesive coatings products have consistently provided superior anchorage when compared to water based coatings. The new NP34 ensures that the adhesive stays on the on the package thereby eliminating potential residue from being deposited on a medical device.
The NP34 /1073B combination is a medical packaging grade Tyvek® lidding material that seals well to silicon coated PETG trays and maintains its strength and seal through a wide variety of sterilization methods.
Oliver's NP34 is a non-toxic hot-melt heat-sealable adhesive coating that is applied in a uniform dot pattern via its exclusive DotCoat® process. This adhesive-application combination maintains the breathability of DuPont's durable 1073B Tyvek®. The adhesive coating provides excellent hot tack and peelable seals with uniform adhesive transfer on most rigid plastics.
NP34/1073B features:
- Cold shock resistance to -10º C
- Seals to silicon-coated PETG trays
- 100% polymer adhesive
- High adhesive coating weight
- Seals to a wide range of semi-rigid plastics
- Consistent peel strength values
- Appropriate for EtO and radiation sterilization
NP34/1073B has passed all USP Class VI evaluations; results are available upon request.
