Tiny Liquid Diaphragm Pump for Analytical Instruments

KNF announces its newest addition to the OEM micro diaphragm liquid pump line, the NF5. Measuring only 1.6 inches long, it is KNF's smallest liquid pump and can be easily integrated into any analytical system, closer to the pumping function. It features a flow rate of 50 ml/min and develops a suction height of 13 ft. water (12 in. Hg) with a discharge pressure of 15 psig. Maintenance-free, the NF5 features a corrosion-resistant RytonŽ/EPDM envelope which handles neutral solutions, mild acids, inks, caustics and other harsh materials. Because these pumps are self-priming, they can run dry without damage to the pump. Diaphragm pumps provide consistent, reliable operation over their lifetime which make the NF5 a good alternative to peristaltic pumps which exhibit inconsistent flow rate over time and eventual tubing failure. All standard KNF pumps can be customized to meet specific OEM performance requirements. With its low current and power consumption, the NF5 is ideal for mobile, battery-powered applications, but is also suitable for use in analytical instruments, chemical ink-jet printers, dispensing, flushing and waste-removal functions.
