Modular Cam System
June 30, 2008 — Kahle, a worldwide supplier of assembly machines for the Medical Device Industry for over 80 years, has designed and developed Modular Cam Driven assembly and process units, to apply a flexible approach to cam driven machine design. By building machines using a standard module, Kahle’s approach allows stations and movements to be modified, added, or removed to accommodate interchangeable products and modifications to the product design without compromising the main drive and transmission of the machine. Kahle's design does not rely on levers, slides, or multiple pivot points for motion. Each movement operates on a 1 to 1 ratio with the cam responsible for the motion, ensuring accuracy and speed of each movement combined with modular flexibility.
