Plastic Gear and Motion Transfer Solutions Now Available Worldwide
Through GW Plastics / ABA-PGT Strategic Alliance
Through GW Plastics / ABA-PGT Strategic Alliance Bethel, Vt. & Manchester, Conn., July 2, 2007 – GW Plastics and ABA-PGT announce the formation of a global strategic alliance for plastic gear systems and integrated motion transfer solutions. This will offer leading OEMs a world-wide provider of single-source solutions across a variety of markets including automotive, office equipment, appliance, healthcare and industrial.

The alliance combines GW Plastics’ advanced global precision plastic injection molding, tooling and assembly capabilities at its six facilities in the United States, Mexico and China with the world-class plastic gear application development, tooling and molding technology of ABA-PGT with facilities in Manchester and Vernon, Conn.
“Our customers have asked us to provide them with a greater level of support as they have established manufacturing locations around the world.” says Wheeler. “Working together with GW, we will support our customers near their own facilities, especially in developing regions such as Mexico and China.”

Sample applications include door latch, power seat, and window lift controls for the automotive industry; drug delivery systems, surgical instruments and hospital 3 of 5 equipment for the healthcare industry; residential and commercial irrigation systems; printers and copiers for the office equipment industry; and currency change devices.

trains, housings and numerous manual and automated assembly
capabilities
- Synergy of shared resources including application development, tooling

- Combined mold making and molding capacity includes three mold making
facilities in the USA and China with over 100 mold makers, eight molding
facilities in the USA, Mexico, and China with over 200 molding machines.

programs.
