Filtertek Offers 50mm Process Filters
HEBRON, IL (January, 2006) – Filtertek, a leading designer and manufacturer of filters for the medical, automotive and commercial markets, introduces its new 50mm Process Filter. This product line is designed for gas & other air venting, as well as, liquid (aqueous solutions, HPLC and GC solvents, cell culture media, protein solutions, etc…) applications in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage industries.
Filters are offered in either an over molded or welded version for the medical device, laboratory and process filtration markets. "We initially conceived the 50mm process filter as an over molded product," said Bruce Daniels, VP, Global Medical Marketing, "but opportunities exist where the lower profile design and cost efficiencies of a welded version can be offered to customers." Tooling is configured to allow Filtertek to sell custom inlet and outlet connection options to our customers."
The new 50mm Process Filter can achieve burst pressures of 50 psi for welded products and 100 psi for over molded product. OEMs selling to pharmacology companies can take advantage of the different filter media available to Filtertek, many of which can be tailored to optimize media performance in the application. Filtertek can also customize filters for product printing and packaging options.
Production is currently located in Filterek's Hebron manufacturing plant. This facility has 100,000 clean room manufacturing, is ISO certified, and FDA registered.
