Universal Spike Designed to Transfer Fluids from Vented or Non-vented IV Containers
BETHLEHEM, Pa., (May 3, 2005) A new Universal Spike (#BC240209) from the B. Braun OEM Division of B. Braun Medical Inc. is designed to transfer fluids from vented or non-vented IV containers through tubing. The Universal Spike’s ability to be vented or non-vented allows for the use of one simple assembly.
The spike accommodates 4.1mm OD tubing or 4.75mm ID tubing. Its large internal fluid passage allows for high flow rates for viscous fluid applications. The spike also features a guard to reduce touch contamination.
Universal Spikes are available as a bulk component or can be integrated and assembled into custom sets.
