Capsule Fillers Ensure an Accurate Dose
Capsule fillers provide a convenient package for single or multiple doses of pharmaceuticals.
Capsule fillers are designed to offer precise dosing, high speed, and easy changeover and cleanup. The capsule provides a simple way for the patient to take medications or supplements, and many pharmaceutical companies use capsule-filling machines as a convenient way to package a pharmaceutical product.
A hard-gelatin capsule-filling machine ensures quick and easy operation and simplifies cleanup. The GKF 2000 machine can fill powders, pellets, and tablets in several different filling patterns. It operates at speeds up to 2500 capsules per minute for most standard sizes. TL Systems/Bosch Group, Minneapolis, MN.
A supplier of semiautomatic and fully automatic encapsulating equipment offers a capsule-filling machine. The ZJT 1500 is cost-effective and has a standard two-year limited warranty. The company aims to provide high quality at low cost. Tradimex Equipment & Supply, Orem, UT.
Many capsule-filling options are available, depending on the customer's size and budget. The P+AM SA-9 semiautomatic capsule-filling machine handles up to 28,000 capsules per hour and is easy to operate because loading, filling, and closing operations are automated. The lightweight magnesium loading rings reduce operator fatigue and increase production efficiency. The SA-9 is available with change parts ranging from 00 to 4. Encap Systems Inc., Carlsbad, CA.
A capsule filler operates at a rate of 120,000 capsules per hour. The K120i capsule filler features an integrated control system along with advanced sensor technologies in a 10.5-in. color touch screen operator interface for controlling all operations of the capsule filler. The system offers storage of all recipe setpoints for over 100 individual products. Romaco Inc., Morris Plains, NJ.
Powders, liquids, beads, and tablets are handled by one continuous-motion capsule-filling machine. The Futura machine is able to fill capsules at rates of 6,000, 12,000, 24,000, 48,000, and 96,000 capsules per hour, depending on the product being dosed. The Futura can fill capsules with powders, beads, pellets, and liquids, either as a single, multiple, or combination dose. MG America, Fairfield, NJ.
A capsule polisher cleans and polishes hard-gelatin capsules in one step. The rotary-brush device, called the Luminer, eliminates the double handling and extra space requirements of the conventional processes using a lamb's-wool belt or salt-and-pan method. Stokes, DT Industries Packaging Group, Bristol, PA.
