Pinchless Conveyor

A conveyor system eliminates belt pinch points to increase worker safety. The 5200-series Qwik Conveyor system features a completely contained belt, eliminating catenary sag and reducing pinch points of the belt as it moves around the pulley and along the frame. The conveyor’s safety features include plastic hold-down strips that contain the belt by wrapping around the ends of the conveyor. The conveyor can be modified to length and can be adjusted to accommodate curves by one person in as little as 10 minutes. Dorner Manufacturing Corp., Hartland, WI; 262/367-7600; www.dorner.com.

Chemical-Resistant Gloves

A glove is fabricated using additive-free polyurethane film and manufactured in a cleanroom environment. The Ultraglove then undergoes a final test to determine ash content and any presence of additives, such as slip, antiblock, AHTs, and BHTs. Because of its low cation and anion content, the Ultraglove can be used in the polysilicon and wafer production industries. Sifting and Screening Machine

A stainless-steel sifter and screener features precise gyratory motion and reliable drive mechanics. The In-Line Tru-Balance’s pneumatic sieve-compression system provides capacity, while its easy access for inspection and maintenance offers versatility and sanitation in sifting and screening operations. Models are available in three sizes ranging from four- to nine-sieve frames with 15.6-sq-ft to 57.6-sq-ft screens. The Tru-Balance drive mechanism results in less stress on the sieve frames, less motion between the sieve frames, and a constant-pressure sieve-clamping mechanism. Ink-Jet Printing System

A printing system marks substrates including pipes, bags, insulation sleeves, fabrics, and extruded packing. The LC-16 Industrial Ink-Jet Printing System performs in harsh conditions and resists dust, humidity, vibrations, a wide range of temperatures, and corrosive substances. The LC-16 uses print heads that accommodate a wide range of inks, including water-based, MEK-based, alcohol-based, and pigmented formulations. HSAUSA, Perth Amboy, NJ; 732/324-0800; www.hsausa.com.

Automation Cell

Designed for job shops with small- to medium-lot sizes, a fully integrated production cell combines a vertical-drill machining center with a fully interfaced six-axis robot for automated loading and unloading. The JobShop Cell is preengineered for simple installation, fast setups, quick changeovers, operator safety, and production flexibility. It can handle objects as large as its 6-in. vise or chuck. The work-handling interface accommodates hydraulic or pneumatic work-holding options and can be fitted with an optional fourth axis and holding fixture.
