Dispensing Pump

A dispensing pump uses a PTFE rolling diaphragm along with a stepper motor to dispense aggressive or ultrapure media. The Furon Precision Dispense Pump incorporates a zero-displacement valve for pulsation-free dispensing. A fully programmable suckback feature provides control of residual drops of liquid. The Furon PDP fully integrates into existing setups without flow controllers or downstream equipment because of its onboard microprocessor, which can be controlled remotely using a built-in RS-485 interface. All wetted surfaces are constructed from high-purity fluoropolymers to suit dispensing of ultrapure chemicals used in pharmaceutical and medical industries. The wetted flow path operates without O-rings. Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, Wayne, NJ; 800/833-5661; www.microelectronics.saint-gobain.com.
