Jerry Bennish has been named new president and CEO of Oliver Medical (Grand Rapids, MI). Bennish, the former president of Rexam Medical Packaging Americas, has 27 years of packaging experience serving in numerous capacities in engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and general managing. Founded in 1968, Oliver Medical specializes in materials and adhesives for the medical packaging industry. In June, the company was acquired by Mason Wells, a Milwaukee-based private equity firm, which intends to invest in and cultivate the company, Bennish said in a news release.

Chesapeake Corp. (Richmond, VA) has named Brian S. Berkopec director, strategic business development. Berkopec will facilitate business development opportunities, manage annual strategy review, and analyze current and potential markets for all of Chesapeake’s operating units. Berkopec worked for Chesapeake from 1995 to 1999 in several positions, departing as director of European strategy for Via Networks, where he served most recently as regional vice president, Europe, overseeing the company’s largest business unit. Chesapeake, a specialty-paperboard and plastic packaging company, has 47 locations in Europe, North America, and Asia and employs approximately 5400 people worldwide.
