Geoff Bennett

Adhesives Research Inc. (Glen Rock, PA), a developer and manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesives, has promoted Geoff Bennett to president. As president, Bennett will oversee all four divisions of the company: ARcare, ARclad, ARx, and ARmark. He joined the company in his native England 10 years ago. Later, while serving as president of Adhesives Research Europe in Limerick, Ireland, he oversaw the start-up and growth of the facility there. Bennett relocated to Glen Rock in 2005 to serve as vice president and general manager of the ARcare division. He most recently was COO for the ARcare, ARclad, and ARmark divisions.

Ilene Gordon has been appointed senior vice president of Alcan Inc. (Montreal, QC, Canada) and president and CEO of Alcan Packaging (Paris). The promotion has required Gordon to relocate from Chicago to Paris. She has also become a member of Alcan’s executive committee. Gordon joined Alcan in 2003 as part of the integration of Pechiney Plastic Packaging Inc. into the Alcan family. Gordon is director and chairman of the Governance Committee for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. She also serves as director and chairman of the Human Resources committee for United Stationers, and is an executive vice chair of the North American Flexible Packaging Association.

Bosch Rexroth Corp. (Hoffman Estates, IL) has announced Berend Bracht will take over as president and CEO. Bracht replaces Wolfgang Dangel, who led the U.S. subsidiary of the German-based company from 2003 through 2006. Bracht started at the company as a hydraulics sales engineer in Munich in 1991 and most recently served as CEO for Bosch Rexroth China. He will continue to maintain the company’s close relationships with its distributors while also developing new initiatives to enhance and promote the company’s technology.

Trevor Bailey has been made a nonexecutive director at DataLase (Widnes, UK). He will work closely with the company’s board members and executive management to support and accelerate growth and development within the printing and packaging industries. The company provides a range of laser marking solutions for product identification and anticounterfeiting.
