Diamond Packaging

www.diamondpackaging.com/combination

A packaging solutions company has created a microsite to showcase its new combination packaging. A microsite [sometimes called a minisite] is a small Web site that is an offshoot of its parent Web site. It functions as a sort of special exhibit for something the company wants to spotlight and provides a means to direct all interest in that one product to the appropriate contacts without getting confused with anything on the parent site. The microsite’s light and airy design contrasts the parent site’s dark color scheme. The stark contrast sets the microsite apart and serves to emphasize the microsite’s theme: packaging is branding. Presented are descriptions of combination packaging styles designed to increase shelf appeal and perceived value while maintaining product and package integrity. Users can request free mock-up package designs.

Labeltronix
www.labeltronix.com

A labeling solutions provider has launched its new Web site. With a new URL and new features, the site is formatted to be easy to navigate and to provide users with more control over their labeling needs and customer account. The site invites users to create a client log-in for accessing the company’s digital catalog, special offers, product specification sheets, and a monthly newsletter. The client log-in feature also allows users to upload artwork for label designs and save quotes requested from the company. The navigation bar across the top of each page provides easy access to descriptions of the company’s business solutions as well as products and services for different markets. A “What’s New” box on the home page features updates on new products, “blow-out specials,” and new services, such as the Lean Labeling solution designed to help customers manage label inventory more efficiently.

Cermex

A company has expanded the content available through the French and English versions of its Web site. The new features include a packaging search engine on the far right of the home page that allows users to search for packaging services by market, primary packaging, and secondary packaging. In addition to its existing news section that provides press releases on new products and upcoming events, the site now has a media section that provides product information in the form of brochures, videos, layout drawings, and system information sheets. The new technical services section offers training services, machine documentation, and maintenance services.

Schneider Electric
www.us.telemecanique.com

A parent company has redesigned the Web site of its automation and control brand name to include numerous drop-down menus to ease navigation and expand its information resources. By clicking on “Resources” on the navigation bar that remains at the top of every page, users can access an archive of case histories that address issues in custom-engineered panels, material handling, and packaging machinery. In addition to the standard navigation bar at the top, the center of the home page is divided into the following four categories of interest: products, industries and solutions, services and support, and documentation—each with its own drop-down menu to help users find exactly what they need quickly and easily.

If you would like a Web site to be considered for this feature or if you are interested in providing a review of a site that you have found useful, please send information to editor Daphne Allen at daphne.allen@cancom.com.
