Ella Drummond

Ella Drummond has been named director of pharmaceutical sales at All Packaging Company (APC; Aurora, CO). Drummond was previously with American Health Packaging, a subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen, where she was responsible for managing all printed components, auditing printing vendors, and ensuring that quality components were available to service production needs. APC brought Drummond on board to help further the company’s goal of refining the expertise the company brings to its pharmaceutical packaging customers.

West Pharmaceutical Services (Lionville, PA) has named Richard J. Valentine plant manager of its metal-seal production facility in Clearwater, FL. Valentine will oversee 145 employees responsible for the production of precision components used to package pharmaceutical, ophthalmic, and dental products. He will also supervise the plant’s metal-seal manufacturing and assembly operations.

Mike Witowicz

LDS Assembly Systems LLC (Leominster, MA) has made Mike Witowicz partner and vice president of sales. Witowicz has spent more than 20 years working in various roles in production, operations, sales, and senior management for packaging companies. LDS specializes in manufacturing change parts for tablet-packaging machinery.

Janet Steiner

The National Association of Women Business Owners—Inland Empire (NAWBO; McLean, VA) has named Janet Steiner Business Woman of the Year. Steiner is the president of Thoro Packaging (Corona, CA), a company that has been manufacturing folding cartons and creating packaging solutions for 38 years. NAWBO-CA is a consortium of the nine NAWBO chapters in California. The organization provides a statewide avenue for California’s women business owners to share resources, skills, and expertise.

Randy Troutman

Randy Troutman has joined Oliver Medical’s technical support team (Grand Rapids, MI). Troutman’s new role is principal engineer, medical engineering. The company provides testing, validation, and specification support to medical device manufacturers. Troutman will address validation and expiration dating considerations at the MD&M Minneapolis conference on October 26.

Dan Andrei

I&J Fisnar Inc. (Fair Lawn, NJ) has named Dan Andrei vice president. Andrei started at the company in 2000 as an electronics engineer. He became director in 2004. The company manufactures automatic fluid-dispensing equipment.

John Cridland

John Cridland has been made laser and hardware project leader for DataLase (Norcross, GA). Cridland will head up the company’s lasers and hardware development programs, addressing all aspects of design and fabrication of next-generation laser systems. He will also oversee development of user and software interfaces and aspects of systems integration. Cridland has 25 years of technical and managerial experience in the research, design, development, and manufacture of equipment for industrial applications such as laser cutting and marking.

Paul Cummings has been named COO of IntraPac Group (Richmond Hill, ON, Canada). He will oversee the day-to-day business of the company’s operating divisions and will assist with the development of the company’s overall strategic direction. The company develops and manufactures specialty packaging.
