PACKAGING RESOURCE CENTER: Show Coverage

Fiesta Hour for Exhibitors

Interphex Puerto Rico packs dozens of sessions into two days.

White sandy beaches, tropical music, and more than two dozen technical sessions lure manufacturers and professionals in the pharmaceutical packaging industry to San Juan for Interphex Puerto Rico. The event, which takes place on February 16 and 17, will be collocated with Medical Device Puerto Rico and Supply Chain & Logistics Puerto Rico at the new Puerto Rico Convention Center.

The new location boasts a larger exhibit floor than last year’s event. Sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the opening of the exhibit hall from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both days of the event.

Three sessions at Medical Device Puerto Rico relevant to packaging professionals include “New Trends on combination Products Regulations” by P. James Wason, Medical Device Consultants Inc.; “Characterization, Properties and Biological Effects of Vapor Phase Hydrogen Peroxide,” presented by Ross Caputo and Robert R. Reich of PSI; and “Controlled Drug Delivery Devices: Successes, Issues, and Challenges” presented by Madeline Torres-Lugo, University of Puerto Rico—Mayagüez.

The event is hosted by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and Pharmaceutical Processing magazine. For more information, visit www.interphexpuertorico.com.
