A petrochemical consulting firm that provides analytical services to industries, including plastics, has announced the completion of its 2006 World Polystyrene/EPS Analysis on its recently redesigned Web site. SmartMove Modular Conveyors
www.4smartmove.com

Nothing gets people moving like music. And nothing moves a package like a conveyor. These two ideas are entertainingly put to use on one company’s Web site. While grooving to a techno version of the 1997 pop hit “Bittersweet Symphony,” prospective conveyor shoppers can use the interactive diagram of a factory floor to find solutions to their product-handling needs. Sections of the factory floor diagram are highlighted as the mouse cursor is passed over them, bringing up brief descriptions of each of the company’s types of conveyors. Clicking on sections of the diagram leads to specific product information pages on short and long conveyor lines, multilevel conveyors, 90° turns, and walk-through gates. Each information page also features a short video—with music—to demonstrate how a client can create flexible assembly areas and eliminate wasted motion “without missing a beat.”
