Custom plastics injection molding company Clairson Plastics (Ocala, FL) has named Darrell Pope director of operations. In this role, Pope will be responsible for crafting and implementing operations process improvements that the company hopes will further enhance its manufacturing efficiency. He has 20 years of experience in injection molding, including 15 years with FDA. He was most recently product development manager for Magnavision.
Thermoplastics manufacturer Asahi/America Inc. (Malden, MA) has named Mike Hansen its West Coast High Purity sales manager. In this expanded role, Hansen will be responsible for increasing awareness of the company's products and services in high purity and wet-process applications throughout the western United States. For the past three years, Hansen has been the Northern California regional sales manager for Asahi/America's valve and actuation products. He will continue to serve as regional sales manager in addition to his new role.
Multisorb Technologies Inc. (Buffalo, NY) has appointed Steven M. Lloyd as director of sales. In this capacity, he will manage company sales and customer service for Multisorb's global customer base. He will also oversee the company's regional business development leaders, who will report to him on account maintenance and sales growth issues for the company's active packaging components business. Prior to this role, Lloyd spent six years with ATTO Technology Inc. (Amherst, NY), a manufacturer of computer interface technologies. He also spent 18 years as district sales manager, major accounts, with Moore Business Forms (Chicago).
DDL Testing Services (Eden Prairie, MN) has hired Alan Gale as its new materials product testing manager. In this role, Gale will be offering "Pack-Advice," the company's consultation system. Previously, he worked for MTS Systems Corp., where he held various positions, including projects engineer, technical support specialist, inventory manager, and product manager.
Stephen C. Turner has been named vice president in charge of service for Remstar International Inc. (Westbrook, ME). He will be responsible for directing the company's nationwide service operations, which include 500 service technicians, five regional service and parts depots, and thousands of installed units in North and South America. Turner has been with the company since 1998 and has served as assistant controller and controller. Prior to that, he was a senior accountant with Purdy, Bingham, & Burrell in Portland, ME.
The Garvey Group (Chicago) has named Mark Stempel as sales manager of its facility based in Milwaukee. He will be responsible for increasing the company's client base and servicing client needs. His expertise is in the development of solutions for combining Internet-based information systems with conventional and digital printing.
