A company’s newest version of label software supports RFID-enabled Zebra printers and Printronix thermal-transfer label printers, with more printer drivers being added as other printer manufacturers add RFID capabilities to their printers. The Easylabel RFID wizard supports EPC specifications. It also features an EAN/UCC-128 Wizard that makes creating EAN/UCC-128 bar codes a simple four-step process. The wizard prompts the user for the required information and then builds the bar code automatically. Easylabel includes support for USB printing with its bidirectional data transfer, compliance tools for 21 CFR Part 11, European multilingual risk and safety phrases for hazardous-chemical labeling regulations, and more. PAS-X
A software company provides manufacturing IT solutions for the pharmaceutical
and biotech industries. The company has installed a manufacturing execution
system based on its PAS-X product to control the production of vitamins and
pharmaceuticals at Leiner Health Products’ Garden Grove, CA, facility.
Leiner will use the PAS-X software to increase overall performance during production
processes and take advantage of the system’s options to achieve its high
demands for quality. The installation will focus on the implementation of CGMP-compliant
manufacturing and packaging processes with electronic batch recording and a
