Nova Packaging Systems (Leominster, MA) has signed a merger agreement with IMA S.p.A. (Bologna, Italy). Nova’s UK facility, operating under the name Swiftpack Automation since March, is part of the agreement as well. The new company name is IMA Nova in the United States and IMA Swiftpack in the UK.

Honeywell Specialty Films (Morristown, NJ) has increased the price for Aclar film and Clarus film. Prices for these products will increase approximately 2% for homopolymer film and 5% for copolymer film. Honeywell cited the increasing cost of raw materials, fluorspar, and hydrofluoric acid as the reasons for the price adjustment.
