Videojet Technologies Inc. (Wood Dale, IL) is holding a contest to find the oldest Videojet small-character ink-jet printer still in active production in the United States. The winner will be awarded a new Videojet small-character continuous ink-jet printer of their choice. The deadline for the contest is December 31, 2004. Nova Packaging Systems (Leominster, MA) has signed a merger agreement with IMA S.p.A. (Bologna, Italy). Nova’s UK facility, operating under the name Swiftpack Automation since March, is part of the agreement as well. The new company name is IMA Nova in the United States and IMA Swiftpack in the UK.

Rockwell Automation (Milwaukee, WI) is offering a white paper that educates manufacturers on how to maximize their investment in RFID technology throughout their enterprise and supply chains. The paper can be downloaded for no cost at

Honeywell Specialty Films (Morristown, NJ) has increased the price for Aclar film and Clarus film. Prices for these products will increase approximately 2% for homopolymer film and 5% for copolymer film. Honeywell cited the increasing cost of raw materials, fluorspar, and hydrofluoric acid as the reasons for the price adjustment.
