Rexam Closures and Containers (Evansville, IN) has named Norman Carlson corporate quality officer, effective August 1, 2004. In his new role, Carlson will be responsible for oversight of the company’s quality and systems infrastructure. In his position, he will oversee the company’s quality systems harmonization, integration, and process optimization between the various manufacturing locations.

Montesino Associates LLC (Wil-mington, DE) will expand its reach into Europe and broaden capabilities with the appointment of two new senior associates. Mike Phillips joins the company as its first European senior associate with more than 30 years of experience in the design, development, and commercialization of innovative pharmaceutical packaging solutions. Dr. Donal McNally joins the company and broadens available capabilities to support clients in the areas of materials selection and evaluation, product development, marketing, and strategic planning.

H&N Packaging Inc. (Colmar, PA) has appointed Roger W. Scott as supply chain and purchasing manager. Scott will be responsible for assessing and procurement requirements based on forecasts and demand from operations or customers of the company.

True Pack Ltd. (Wilmington, DE) has hired Marshall D. Suplee as vice president of sales for the Northeast region of the pharmaceutical and biotech companies and also Red Cross and blood bank centers.

MonoSol Rx LLC (Portage, IN) announced that Dr. Tushar Misra will join the company as vice president of pharmaceutical operations. Misra has more than 15 years of industrial experience with 12 of those in the technical and regulatory aspects of formulation, scale-up, and technical transfer of solid and liquid drug products and CGMP facilities design.

Weatherchem Corp. (Twinsburg, OH) has named Jennifer L. Alstadt president. In her new role, Altstadt will manage the company’s operations and work closely with Albert Weatherhead III, chairman of the board and CEO, to provide overall leadership and strategic direction.

DDL Testing Services (Minneapolis) has announced plans to grow its DDL West facility in Costa Mesa, CA, with the recruitment of Michael Foster, a package engineer. The company has recruited Foster with the goal of increasing medical device package, product, and material testing along the West Coast.
