Industry PeopleEurotherm (Leesburg, VA) has appointed Christopher King as product manager for the company’s recorder and data management product line. For the last four years, King was the regional sales manager in the northeast region. He will be responsible for all business activities related to marketing the company’s line of graphic, strip-chart, and circular recorders as well as the data management products including review and bridge software.
The Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP; Naperville, IL) named Chuck Perrin as its 2003 Member of the Year recipient for exceptional professional contributions to the organization and the packaging field. Perrin is a certified packaging professional and has 38 years of experience as a packaging engineer and consultant. IoPP also named Walter Faulkner, Jack Grams, Gary Hamilton, William Kipp, and Raymond Shultz as College of Fellows recipients. Two of its members, Ted Holloran and Jay Samuels, were named honorary life members.
Greydon Inc. (York, PA), a specialty inline printer manufacturer, has hired Derril Cady as a technical sales engineer. Cady had previously been engineering manager at
Hillshire Farms/Sara Lee (New London, WI). He will be responsible for system integration, service, sales support, and R&D duties in the Midwest for Greydon.
Cardinal Health (Philadelphia) has announced the appointment of Gareth Lewis to business development manager for the company’s sales and marketing team for packaging services, Corby, UK. He will also be an account director for one of Cardinal’s strategic accounts in Europe. Prior to joining Cardinal, Lewis worked in the pharmaceutical contract packaging industry.
Alga Plastics (Cranston, RI) has appointed Dick Simmons to business manager–medical industry. Simmons was formerly medical segment manager for the technical packaging group at
Alcoa Flexible Packaging (Wheaton, IL).
