Tube Fillers Are Quiet and Efficient
Filling machines
handle metal, plastic, and laminated tubes.
An
integrated tube filler and cartoning machine are combined within a single,
compact system. The IWK TFS 10 tube filler forms a seamless link to a vertical
cartoning machine via an integral automated transfer system. Tubes exit the
filler onto a conveyor and drop into a carton that is presented in an open position.
The bottom is then closed and finished with a tuck, glue, or five-panel carton
seal. The tube filler features vernier and quick-release levers to provide a
virtually tool-free changeover that accommodates products ranging from viscous
to watery consistency and tube sizes from 3 to 250 g. IWKA PacSystems,

A
variety of tube-filling machines,
along with four matching cartoner models, range in speed from 25 to 500 tubes/min.
The NM 250 is a compact unit for production runs of 25 tubes/ min, while the
NM 600S is an all-servo-driven, 60 tubes/min machine designed to meet the needs
of contract manufacturing. Indexing of the tube holder track, the pump unit,
and lift at fill are all driven by servomotors, which allows settings to be
preprogrammed into the control unit for simple, reliable changeover. The unit

A
two-head squeeze-tube filler
operates at speeds ranging from 100 to 140 tubes/min. A cam-driven fill station
and a low cycle speed contribute to consistent production output in the plus-100
range for all applications. The RT 140 uses positive-displacement metering and
components that provide accurate, reliable operation, according to the company.
Virtually all closure styles, tube materials, and tube sizes are able to run
on any of the company’s systems. In addition to the tool-free quick-clean
