Bruce W. Jenett’s practice is focused on the representation of domestic and international high-technology business clients, primarily in the life sciences industry. He served for seven years as cochairman of Heller Ehrman’s life sciences practice. He is highly experienced in equity and debt financing, licensing and distribution, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as general counseling issues representing both start-ups and large multinational corporations.
Jenett has represented such clients as Abingworth Management Inc., Astellas Venture Capital LLC, Bayer Corp. and Bayer AG, the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), CardioGenesis Corp., Entelos Inc., Hitachi Chemical Diagnostics, Indigo Medical Inc., Nautilus Biotech SA, Pelikan Technologies Inc., Thoratec Corp., TPG Ventures, TransMolecular Inc., VisionCare Ophthalmic Technologies Inc., and numerous life sciences and telecommunications start-up incubators.
Jenett is a frequent speaker on corporate and finance issues to both business and attorney audiences. He is a member of the bioethics committee of BIO, the advisory boards of BioAgenda and EuroBIO, the BayBio board of directors, and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s biotech advisory council.
