The winning medical technology companies in the Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) competition often owe a large part of their success to the suppliers and designers who expertly assisted them along their development path.
The MDEA competition acknowledges the contributions of named suppliers through a special program designed especially to honor the companies that support MDEA-winning products. These suppliers earn the exclusive right to use and display the special MDEA supplier logo in their promotional materials and exhibit booths.
These companies are among the best in a wide-ranging vendor community—including design firms, materials suppliers, component manufacturers, and consulting firms—all of whose efforts play a vital role in enabling medical device manufacturers to produce these award-winning products. In fact, without the help of such outsourcing firms, many innovative products might never come to fruition.
The following guide provides contact information for the 70 named suppliers to 2005 MDEA-winning products. In keeping with the global scope of the medical device industry—seven of the supplier companies are from outside the United States, representing Australia, Ireland, Liechtenstein, The Netherlands, Sweden (two suppliers), and Switzerland.
