"New" is not enough. "Better" is better. Medtech executives responsible for new product development should take pains to ensure that when potential device purchasers ask themselves the following three questions, they will arrive at affirmative answers. They are the key to new technology acceptance.

  • Does the new device reduce the healthcare provider's costs?
  • Can the device increase patient throughput?
  • Can the device provide an additional service?
