In this year's In-Awe competition, KF Dunn & Associates (New Castle, DE) walked away with four awards—two gold, a silver, and a bronze.

The gold award went to the agency's two-part direct mail campaign for Cardiolite, a myocardial perfusion agent manufactured by Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging Inc. (N. Billerica, MA; formerly DuPont Pharmaceuticals—Medical Imaging). The challenge was to intrigue physicians about a recent head-to-head clinical study showing that Cardiolite provides more clinical details than a competitive imaging agent to better identify patients with mild-to-moderate cardiac disease. Results of the campaign included a recovery in market share for Cardiolite beginning the month following the mailings.

The firm's remaining three awards went to its campaign for the Ovation Bionatural Pipette by VistaLab Technologies (Mt. Kisco, NY). At first exposure of the product and promotional materials, the product was immediately adopted as a purchase option by the National Institutes of Health.
