In the 2002 In-Awe competition, Adair-Greene won a gold award for its journal advertising entry for a troponin I assay by Abbott Diagnostics (Abbott Park, IL). Designed to target clinical laboratorians, "this clever ad draws in the reader by combining a simple headline with an intriguing visual," says the firm. "The shape of the heart is immediately recognizable, but it takes a moment to realize it is constructed of test tubes.
