SteriPack (Clara, Co. Offaly, Ireland) has launched a new version of its SteriBag, which is similar to the conventional headerbag, but combines Tyvek and film in the headerstrip. As a result, the packaging can provide an excellent peel system and with high breathability. SteriBags are suitable for large or bulky items such as surgical kits or drapes. They can be sterilised using ethylene oxide and gamma. Using clear LLDPE film allows full product visibility. Amongst the advantages are a more cost-effective packaging solution, reduced sterilisation cycles while retaining the integrity of the product.
