MTA Launches New Technology Users Network

The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) represents UK companies that manufacture or import products, or offer services to the machine tool, equipment, and manufacturing technologies industry. It promotes engineering excellence and helps member companies improve their trade and competitiveness in all markets. MTA has introduced a new membership category: User Partners. This is designed for companies that use the machinery, equipment, and services that MTA’s mainstream members provide. Its User Partners network will put users of manufacturing technologies in direct contact with these suppliers via MTA membership, which is expected to grow from the current 250 companies to more than 300 by the end of 2008.

The association’s services focus on six areas: business development, marketing intelligence, business support, technical advice and support, public and government relations, and training and skills. It works with the government and UK Trades and Investment to promote overseas trade and inward investment to the UK.
