Control Software Hones Laser Micromachining Operations

New control software from JPSA integrates the com- pany's dual process and inspection camera system, which results in fast and precise part alignment.

To meet the challenges of laser micromachining at the submicron level, J P Sercel Associates (JPSA, Manchester, NH, USA, www.jpslaser.com) has introduced JPSAControls32 System Control software. The engineer-level user interface provides complete control of all system devices and software components for setup and programming.
The software includes advanced project management utilities that permit the system to recall settings for an unlimited number of production tasks, and three-tier user access. It supports setup and control of all stages of motion, including linear and rotary movement, motorised beam delivery components and laser fire mechanisms. Complex automation sequences can be programmed.
