  • The Research and Development Council of New Jersey named Glenbrook Technologies (Randolph, NJ) founder and president Gil Zweig a 2009 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award Winner for the company’s contribution to advances in x-ray imaging technology. The Omnifit portfolio of fittings, connectors, and chromatography columns are a complementary addition to Diba’s fluid-handling products, which are used in in vitro diagnostic and medical equipment.

  • UPCOA (Peabody, MA) has changed its name to G&F Medical (Danvers, MA) in order to better reflect the company’s increased focus on serving the medical device industry. Along with the name change, the company has relocated its operations to a facility that it says offers improved manufacturing capacity and flexibility to perform silicone injection and thermoplastic molding, as well as assembly and design services.

  • Emerson Network Power (Columbus, OH) has opened a LEED-certified learning center in Westerville, OH. The nearly 70,000-sq-ft building, located on five acres, will serve as a learning center for the company’s field technicians, customers, and partners. The facility will also provide hands-on data center infrastructure support training for more than 1000 students per year. A main feature of the facility is an 11,000-sq-ft equipment lab.
