Leak Testing System
A customized nondestructive test system for detecting leaks in closed medical devices and in nonporous medical device packages is designed to provide repeatable quantitative results via vacuum- or pressure-decay methodology. The TME Solution-C test system combines the sensitivity of pressure- or vacuum-decay leak testing with the simplicity of sealed fixtures in detecting holes as small as 5 µm. Offering RS-232 communication as standard and Ethernet connectivity as an option, the instrument employs a proprietary chamber design to find leaks in product seals or walls and in the seals of such packaging materials as films, foils, and laminates, and it can also find leaks in induction-welded bottle seals and blister cards. Real-time statistical analysis is accessible on demand, including QC charts for process control. Custom-designed test fixtures maximize test sensitivity for a particular product or package, while interchangeable fixture inserts accommodate variations in package size.
