Adlink Technology Acquires Ampro Computer
Adlink Technology (Taipei, Taiwan) has acquired 100% shareholding of Ampro Computer Inc. (San Jose). A release announcing the acquisition said that Ampro's design, R&D, and manufacturing capabilities, especially in embedded computing, were major factors in Adlink's decision. The companies also said that Ampro's U.S. sales channels, customer service, and logistic centers can help to increase sales of Adlink's embedded computing products in the United States. Adlink plans to improve current cost structures within Ampro so that Ampro may broaden its reach in other potential end-application markets. Both Ampro and Adlink supply embedded computing products to the medical electronics industry.
