COMPAMED 2008 EVENT PREVIEW
Compamed grows from strength to strength with more than 480 exhibitors from 30 countries attending this year in Messe Düsseldorf’s Halls 8a and 8b. Suppliers will exhibit a comprehensive range of solutions, extending from new materials, components, preliminary products, packaging and services to complex micro systems and complete contract manufacturing.
IVAM, the microtechnology network (www.ivam.de), hosts a technical forum, “High-Tech for Medical Devices,” which will focus on high-tech components to improve medical product performance. Visitors will have the opportunity to gain insights into the latest applications of micro- and nanotechnology. For example, presentations describe an ultraminiature wireless implantable pressure sensor platform, disposable micro pumps, optimised monitoring processes and printable electronics for medical technical applications. It also offers a special session on electronic manufacturing services. The microtechnology suppliers present their product solutions at a central point in Hall 8a next to IVAM’s dedicated exhibition area. Here, more than 45 companies and institutes from Germany, Switzerland, Finland, UK, France, Sweden, The Netherlands and the US will show new developments.
