SynCardia promotes Gaul to COO

Mike Gaul

SynCardia Systems Inc, manufacturer of the CardioWest Artificial Heart, has promoted Mike Gaul to Chief Operating Officer. Gaul joined Syncardia as Vice President of Operations in October 2005. Gaul’s 30 years in medical and robotic manufacturing has been instrumental in the development of the 50 cc artificial heart, which according to the company, is the only FDA and CE approved temporary artificial heart in the world.

Merryman promotion at Watlow

Chad Merryman

Watlow, a designer and manufacturer of heaters, controllers and temperature sensors, has promoted Chad Merryman to the role of Vice President, Global End User Sales and Support. For the last two years, Merryman has served as director of Watlow’s domestic and international technical sales and support teams. In his new role, Merryman will be responsible for distributor sales and post-sales support.

Xiangyang Song

Xiangyang Song has joined the engineering team at J.P. Sercel Associates (JPSA), a designer, supplier and systems integrator of laser materials processing workstations. Dr Song joins JPSA’s team of laser technology scientists as an applications and process engineering specialist, working in the company’s core competencies of UV excimer and DPSS materials processing.

Magnisense strengthens management team
