COMPAMED 2007 PREVIEW
Visitors to Compamed this year can expect great things. There will certainly be a great number of exhibitors. Once the show was housed in Hall 8a. This year the exhibitors take over two halls and also occupy the adjacent new Hall 8b. More than 300 companies will be displaying their products, capabilities and solutions for medical device design and manufacture. The products range from materials, components and packaging to complex microsystems technology and nanotechnology.
There will be a great number of innovations introduced by the supplier companies. Some of these will be profiled in the Forum organised by IVAM, the Microtechnology Network, which forms the focal point of the show. Its theme is high-tech components in medical products processing. The programme will include presentations on nanowires and how they can be used in new medical devices, micropumps, implantable pressure sensors, antimicrobial nanocomposite coatings and metrology tools for MEMS. In addition, 25 companies from the micro, nano and materials branch of IVAM will be on hand to discuss their latest work.
