EDITORIAL ADVISORY BOARD
Steve Wilcox, PhD, FIDSA, holds a BS in psychology and anthropology from Tulane University, a PhD in experimental psychology from Penn State University, and a certificate in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the founder and a principal of Design Science, a 20+ person Philadelphia-based firm that specializes in helping companies make their products as user-friendly as possible. Design Science works with clients such as J&J, Baxter, Abbott, and Datascope. He has been chair of the Human Factors Professional Interest Section of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), a vice president of IDSA. He currently serves as a member of the IDSA Academy of Fellows, the School of Design Advisory Board of Carnegie Mellon University, and the Human Engineering Committee of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. He has published more than 60 articles in professional journals and has given many invited addresses to various organizations. He is the author, with Michael Wiklund, of Designing Usability into Medical Products (2005). He has been a member of MD&DI’s Editorial Advisory Board since 2003.
