GE Healthcare Earns Leadership Award
GE Healthcare has been awarded Frost & Sullivan’s 2009 Growth Strategy Leadership of the Year Award in Medical Imaging. GE Healthcare’s growth strategy capitalized on the Dynamic Imaging acquisition in 2007 to revitalize imaging informatics in a mature market.
GE Healthcare used the rebranded Centricity picture archiving and communication system (PACS) to develop market opportunities in physician offices for Web-based PACS and radiology information systems/PACS for hospitals and outpatient imaging centers. This was followed by the release of Centricity PACS–IW worldwide with support for French, German, Italian, and Japanese languages.
Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Awards recognize firms that demonstrate outstanding achievement and superior performance.
