B. Braun Expands Dominican Facility
B. Braun OEM Division (Bethlehem, PA) is expanding the manufacturing capacity in its Dominican Republic facility located near Santo Domingo City. The expansion, which is slated to open at the end of 2007, adds more than 25,500 sq ft of manufacturing space to existing operations. The facility currently consists of two buildings dedicated to raw materials and finished goods. Products are assembled and packaged there before being shipped to the company’s Pennsylvania facilities for sterilization. Its location offers access to four seaports as well as an international airport.
