AdvaMed’s White Awarded for Ethics

PricewaterhouseCoopers has recognized AdvaMed’s Christopher White for his leadership in advancing ethics in the device industry. As the first recipient of the award, White was honored for his work on AdvaMed’s Code of Ethics logo program during a banquet held at Harvard University. White is the general counsel, executive vice president, and secretary at AdvaMed.

White took the lead in educating corporate counsel and compliance officers at device companies about AdvaMed’s Code of Ethics program. He has also advocated the importance of the program to doctors and other groups. Companies that participate in the logo program are permitted to use the logo on their corporate Web site, business cards, and other marketing materials, but they must meet the criteria outlined in the code. The logo has become an indication of a company’s compliance with ethical guidelines.
