The Tech Group (Scottsdale, AZ) has invested $12.4 million to relocate its Grand Rapids, MI, operations to a molding facility in Walker. Currently 40,000 sq ft, the facility will be enlarged to 72,000 sq ft and will house about 60 injection molding machines. It will also have a Class 100,000 molding floor, a Class 100,000 assembly area, and a Class 10,000 assembly floor for contract assembly.
The Tech Group provides custom injection molding and contract manufacturing, with technologies that include integrated work cells, insert molding, in-mold labeling, and blow molding. Its services include project development, collaborative design engineering, tool building, high-speed assembly, lab testing, and management of regulatory issues.
