Maine Biotechnology Services is an antibody discovery company located in Portland Maine. Since 1990, MBS has been providing custom antibody development, production, purification and post processing services in our cGMP facility. Our hybridoma development program features a rapid immunization protocol with fusion happening on day 28. To further cut time and cost, MBS now offers MultiPure technology which rapidly generates a set of quality purified antibody from fusion product supernatants allowing these samples to be normalized for evaluation prior to subcloning. Having purified antibody at an early stage limits the time and cost of development by allowing kinetic evaluation and discovery of matched pairs before decisions about subcloning are made. In this way, the customer is assured to only go to subcloning with the right antibodies for the end application. This technology, previously limited to a 12 sample format, is now available in a 96 well format. MBS also supplies over 200 antibodies to the diagnostic market. A brand new addition to our product offering is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes all forms of Polyethylene glycol (PEG). For production purposes, our PEG antibody can be a vital tool for propelling therapeutics to market by serving as a positive control anti-drug antibody, measuring clearance of a drug, or simply in a western blot as a QA release confirming PEGylation. Other new antibodies in our catalog include: C. Jejuni, Chlamydia LPS, Norovirus, Rotavirus, Adenovirus, RSV, and Giardia lamblia. MBS has two new antibodies for veterinary applications. They are, Equine LH which could aid in prediction of Equine ovulation and Streptococcus equi, for early diagnosis and control of strangles.
