The ThromboCheck by OGHAM GmbH (Munster, Germany) is a microarray that contains nine polymorphisms for thrombosis. The CoroCheck by OGHAM is a microarray that contains 17 SNPs for cardiac diseases, lipid abnormalities, and type-2 diabetes.
The ArthritisChip by Oligene GmbH (Berlin) is used for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and for the identification of molecules as targets for specific drugs. The MDRchip by Oligene is used to select effective chemotherapeutic agents for individual cancer types.
DNA strip technology products by Hain Life Sciences (Nehren, Germany) employ a three-step procedure of DNA isolation, amplification, and hybridization. Tests are available for Factor V, MTHFR polymorphisms, APO-E alleles and PAI-1. The tests do not require instrumentation and they fit into routine laboratory procedures.
The DrugMEt by Jurilab (Kuopio, Finland) is a genotyping test for drug-metabolizing enzymes. This microarray-based test can genotype DNA samples for 27 SNPs in eight genes associated with drug metabolism.
