Clamping
brackets for aiming and securely attaching photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors
are available in a series that accommodates virtually every brand and model
of industrial sensor. The Clamp-Style Universal Bracket (CUB) family of brackets
was developed to provide readily available standard mounts that offer versatility
and strength. The core element of the bracket design is the Halfklamp set, two
matching shell-shaped die-cast-zinc components that clamp onto a 3/8-in. socket-head
cap screw on bolt-on models or slide along a customer-supplied 1/2-in.-diam
rod on rod-mount models. The outer edges of the shells grasp the sensor bracket
and expand to secure it. The dual tightening is performed via a single hex-head
screw, and repositioning for aim is effected quickly with a hex wrench. Customization
is offered to meet special needs.
