Nitinol Devices & Components (NDC) manufactures Nitinol semifinished materials (wire, tube, strip, sheet, bar) and Nitinol components to customer specifications for medical applications. NDC and its strategic partners: Oremet Wah Chang Division of Allegheny Teledyne and G. Rau GmbH, are ISO 9001–certified to provide total in-house control of all manufacturing processes, from the melting of the alloys to the surface finishing of shaped parts. NDC’s services include Nitinol forming, cutting, joining, polishing, laser machining, process development, design and prototyping. NDC pioneered precision laser cutting of Nitinol tubing and wire for medical devices. Nitinol’s excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and unique mechanical properties make it well suited for implantable devices and instruments.
