Phillips Plastics Corporation® has been serving original equipment manufacturers in virtually every market since 1964 and has established itself as one of the premiere sources for the design and manufacture of custom plastic and metal injection molded components. At Phillips' two design development centers, programs begin with the full attention of a cross-functional team of industrial designers, mechanical designers, and project engineers who thoroughly analyze complete program parameters at the design phase. Program managers oversee the entire process, providing supply chain management not only for Phillips Plastics, but also for component procurement thereby ensuring total in-house control. In addiction, protocol development, validation, and six sigma initiatives are given thorough consideration from the beginning to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved fro each program.

Capitalizing on the success of many programs, a multitude of capabilities are available in-house to facilitate seamless project flow through including – industrial design, design engineering, CAD, finite element analysis (FEA), Moldflow® analysis, rapid prototypes, models, and stereolithography. Integral to the success of each program are the partnerships Phillips forms with its customers which further enhance the overall design and manufacturing process.

Not only do our medical customers benefit from value added capabilities available they also benefit from Phillips' vast experience designing and molding components for multiple industries including consumer, appliance, and electronics. With 20-plus years of experience and over 51 million parts produced for medical OEMs, Phillips is poised to take on the toughest, most demanding medical programs. Phillips' medical device manufacturing services include production, assembly, and packaging capabilities prepared in a Class 100,000 clean room environment which are FDA registered, and operate under good manufacturing practices (GMP) for both high and low volume needs. With over 176,000 square feet dedicated to medical manufacturing Phillips is equipped to handle high volume programs that number in the millions. At the other end of the spectrum, Phillips also has a 46,000 square foot facility dedicated to low volume medical manufacturing. Utilizing flexible work cells and quick changeover tooling, these facilities provide the same attention to quality and use of state-of-the-art technology as their high volume counterparts. Whether low or high volume production, Phillips utilizes a lean manufacturing operational strategy, which streamlines the entire product development process, thereby improving profitability, customer satisfaction, and lead time.

Rounding out the capabilities specifically tailored to medical programs are Phillips' full sterilization selection and management services, which ensure longer life cycles, material compatibility and integrity, and increased cost-effectiveness. Phillips Plastics has established long-term relationships with sterilization vendors, thereby reducing supply chain complexity and ensuring the sterilization process is optimized.
