Double Coated Silicone Gel Adhesive Removes Easily From Sensitive Skin
Acrylic Adhesive Side Adheres Easily to a Variety of Materials
Windsor, CT (November 13, 2007) — Scapa Medical has introduced Bioflex ® Rx1268S, a co-polyester film coated on one side with 6.0 mils of a skin-friendly silicone gel adhesive, and on the other side with 2.0 mils of acrylic adhesive that bonds easily to non-wovens, films, and foams. This double coated tape is ideal for a range of direct skin applications including neonatal care, medical device attachment, wound care, skin therapy and hypertrophic scar management.
The water-resistant silicone used on Bioflex ® Rx1268S is soft and repositionable, removing easily without causing skin trauma. It can also be washed off with water, and will regain adhesion when properly dried. This non-irritating, lightweight and conformable double-coated product can also be used to manufacture adhesive bra systems.
The silicone gel adhesive side features a 5 mil clear film release liner. The acrylic adhesive is supplied with a 60# kraft release liner.
